Choose the right level of clean

Regular cleaning vs deep cleaning.

Regular cleaning maintains a home that is already under control. Deep cleaning is a more detailed reset for accumulated build-up and specifically agreed priority areas.

The short answer

Maintain, reset or hand over?

The condition and required result determine the service—not the label alone.

Reset

Deep home cleaning

Designed for a one-off reset or focused accumulated build-up.

  • More time allocated per room
  • Skirting, edges and reachable neglected areas
  • Built-up grease or bathroom detail to the scope
  • Inside selected cupboards or appliances only when quoted

Handover

End of lease

Designed around a vacating-property scope rather than ordinary upkeep.

  • Agent checklist considered where supplied
  • Vacant-property kitchen and bathroom scope
  • Carpets, walls and optional extras confirmed separately
  • No promise or guarantee of a landlord’s bond decision

When regular cleaning is the better fit

Choose regular cleaning when the home is reasonably maintained and your goal is consistency. It works well for busy households that want routine floors, accessible surfaces, kitchens and bathrooms kept under control.

When a deep clean is worth considering

Choose a deep clean when there is accumulated grime, the property has not been professionally cleaned for some time, the first visit needs more detail, or you want a focused seasonal reset. A deep clean still needs an agreed scope—it does not automatically include every wall, cupboard, appliance or inaccessible area.

Why the first visit may be different

A home that has not had regular maintenance can require a deeper first service. Once the baseline is established, a regular schedule may require less time. GoBright confirms the appropriate starting scope before work.

A useful way to describe the condition

  • How long it has been since a detailed clean
  • The rooms with the heaviest grease, scale, dust or pet hair
  • Whether cupboards, appliances, blinds or walls are priorities
  • Any delicate surfaces, damage, mould, pests or access limitations
  • Whether the home is occupied, partly furnished or vacant

Frequently asked questions

Is deep cleaning the same as end-of-lease cleaning?

No. A deep home clean resets selected areas of a lived-in home. An end-of-lease clean is planned around a vacating-property handover scope and agent requirements.

Does deep cleaning include every cupboard, wall and appliance?

No. These tasks are included only when listed in the confirmed scope. A priority-based clean is often more practical than assuming every possible task.

Can my first regular clean be a deep clean?

Yes. Establishing a manageable baseline first can make ongoing weekly or fortnightly visits more predictable.

How do I choose if I am still unsure?

Select “Not sure — help me choose,” describe the build-up and share photos if requested. GoBright can then recommend the most realistic scope.
