Access and method come first

Exterior cleaning depends on safe access, height, surface material, drainage, weather and the existing condition. Supply photos of two-storey areas, narrow side access, steep ground, fragile roofing or difficult elevations before the appointment where possible.

Before window cleaning

  • Confirm interior and exterior panes, screens, frames and tracks separately
  • Clear fragile objects and furniture from indoor access areas where practical
  • Unlock gates and identify windows that do not open normally
  • Disclose tint, damaged seals, cracked glass, construction residue or hard-water marks
  • Secure pets and advise about alarms or restricted spaces

Before pressure washing

  • Move vehicles, loose furniture, fragile pots and electrical items away from the work zone
  • Close nearby doors and windows and explain any drainage concerns
  • Identify cracks, loose paint, damaged grout, weak coatings or delicate materials
  • Confirm access to a suitable water source if required by the agreed method
  • Plan for wet surfaces and keep pedestrians clear until the area is safe

Why a test area may be appropriate

Some aged, painted or delicate surfaces can change under cleaning pressure or chemical treatment. GoBright may recommend a lower-pressure method, a small test area, a changed scope or declining an unsuitable surface.

Weather and two-storey limits

Window work is available for suitable properties up to two storeys, subject to a safe-access assessment. Exterior appointments may be rescheduled when weather, access or site conditions make the agreed method unsafe or impractical.
